In 2022 Santos had donated 99,633 eligible containers from our operational sites Varanus Island, Devil Creek and Ningaloo Vision and the Noble Tom Prosser drill rig. If we were to include the residual containers in transit and at the supply bases the donation would have been well over 100,000.
The containers have been collected as part of the Containers for Change program in WA, which aims to reduce litter and landfill by processing recyclable containers eligible for a 10-cent refund.
We donated our refund to Good Sammy Enterprises, an organisation that provides employment, support, learning, and development opportunities for people living with disabilities. Our monetary donation will help Good Sammy deliver its mission to provide a better future for West Australians with disability.
