Barossa Gas Project: Learn more

Congratulations to Team Santos, one of the largest fundraisers in the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) Up All Night fundraising walk in Western Australia.

Walking 44 kilometres from dusk to dawn, participants raised important funds for RMHC, while taking time to reflect on the harsh reality of being ‘up all night’ as a parent of a critically ill child.

Over 1,300 people participated in the event raising an incredible $1,740.803 (and counting) to help support the critical services provided by RMHC who provide a ‘home away from home’ for regional WA families, at a time when they need it most.

Team Santos raised an impressive $28,857, with special mention to Joe and Bryndis who ranked second and fifth respectively in the overall individual fundraising stakes. Out of the 53 corporate teams registered, Team Santos was also the seventh largest fundraiser.

Santos’ fundraising alone will help provide:

  • Over 100 nights’ accommodation at the RMHC House
  • Approximately 1,000 family dinners
  • More than 400 lessons in the learning centre

Congratulations to Team Santos – Joe A, Bryndis, Aileen, Mindi, Jaimie, Sean, Joe H, Sabina, Nicolas, Jordyn, Ava-Marie, and Jason.

As an indication of how challenging the event was, of the 1,375 people who started the walk, only 689 successfully completed the entire distance. The average time taken to walk the required 44 kilometres was roughly nine hours.
