The Education Queensland Industry Partnership (EQIP) is a not-for-profit initiative that formed in 2009 to coordinate the delivery of vocational education training programs for the State High Schools in Gladstone. This industry-school partnership kick-starts the careers of students resulting in work-ready young individuals.
EQIP recently held a Careers Expo which is open to school students in years 10, 11 and 12 from the Gladstone Region. This event offers a platform for students wanting to learn more about specific careers and education pathway opportunities. Programmed Apprentices, Shaeli and Toby represented Santos GLNG on the collaborative LNG stall on the day and met with numerous students aspiring for a similar career path.
The Expo showcases the Gladstone community and business sector including Tourism, Civil Construction, Engineering, Resources, Horticulture, Operations/Manufacturing/Distribution, Arts, Universities, Police Recruitment, Defence Forces, and more.
