Santos is Common Ground Adelaide’s foundation sponsor investing $3 million over five years to help the not-for-profit organisation establish its operations in South Australia.
Santos funding has been instrumental to our success towards ending homelessness and creating affordable, stable and decent housing for those in need.
Common Ground Adelaide Limited is a not-for-profit housing company established to provide affordable rental housing to low-income working people and people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness.
Common Ground has helped to create a community for its residents, bringing people together from diverse backgrounds and experiences to create friendships and valuable support networks.
Becoming a part of the community in which we live and operate is also very important to Santos. It’s all about building relationships with local communities and having a positive impact.
For Santos, community engagement has always been fundamental in the way we operate. This is a commitment we will continue to deliver on into the future.
The State Government and the Commonwealth Government have provided capital funding for Common Ground Adelaide to purchase buildings. CGA receives state funding to operate support services. Santos is a foundation sponsor.
Individuals and businesses, locally and interstate, have also provided funding or donations.
CGA is a tax deductible recipient, which means cash donations are fully tax deductible.
A supportive housing program is one where the staff work with consumers to identify personal goals, provide opportunity to access services and activities to improve their quality of life and rprevent them from falling back into homelessness.
Each consumer will have a Service Coordinator assigned to them to plan what services they need to ensure a successful tenancy and to provide opportunities to improve their health and wellbeing.
