The Board of Santos Ltd is pleased to announce that Mr. Frank J. Conroy, BCom, MBA, FAIM, FAICD, FAIBF has today been appointed a Director.
Mr. Conroy, aged 57, is the Chairman of Howard Smith Ltd, St. George Bank Ltd, ORIX Australia Corporation Ltd and a Director of Futuris Corporation Ltd. He is a former Managing Director of Westpac Banking Corporation and a former Director of Elders Australia Ltd, Davids Ltd, Placer Pacific Ltd and Federal Airports Corporation.
Mr. Conroy is a Member of the Advisory Board of the Australian Defence College. He is Chairman of the Board of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and a Member of the Air Training Corps National Council and of the Board, and Treasurer of, The Sydney Institute. In 1993, Mr. Conroy was appointed by the Federal Government as Chairman of the Committee to review the Australian Customs Service.
