Santos Limited (ASX:STO, NASDAQ:STOSY), as Operator of WA-191-P, announces that the Bligh 1 exploration well has reached a total depth of 3205 metres from rotary table and will be plugged and abandoned having failed to encounter hydrocarbons.
Bligh 1 is located 10 kilometres east of the Mutineer oil discovery.
The Sedco 703 rig will move to drill the Mutineer 3 appraisal well following abandonment operations.
