Santos is committed to building respectful and constructive relationships with the communities where we operate.
The Santos Darwin Community Consultative Committee (DCCC) has been established in accordance with Environment Protection Licence 217 (EPL 217) to support accurate, timely and effective communication between Santos, stakeholders and the community regarding Darwin LNG operations and Santos’ activities in the Northern Territory.
The Committee provides a forum for ongoing engagement, information sharing and dialogue regarding Darwin LNG’s environmental performance and relevant Santos activities in the Northern Territory.
Santos Darwin Community Consultative Committee
The Santos DCCC supports open and transparent communication between Santos and the community.
Topics discussed by the Committee may include:
- Darwin LNG environmental performance and compliance with EPL 217
- Environmental monitoring results and regulatory reporting
- Updates on Darwin LNG operations and relevant Santos activities in the Northern Territory
- Community feedback, enquiries and concerns
- Environmental management initiatives
- Community investment and engagement activities
- Site visits and presentations where relevant
- Other matters relating to Darwin LNG environmental performance and community interests
The DCCC performs an advisory and consultative role only. It is not a decision-making body and does not have a regulatory function.
Membership, Meetings and Governance
The Committee is expected to meet approximately three times per year. Meetings are generally two hours in duration and may be held in person or online.
Membership comprises representatives from:
- Local Government
- First Nations organisations
- Environmental organisations
- Research and education institutions
- Industry and economic stakeholders
- Community members

Membership is voluntary and unpaid.
Expressions of Interest
Community Members
Santos is seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals who live or work in the Darwin Region and would like to be considered for membership of the DCCC.
We are seeking up to three community members whose perspectives complement the existing Committee membership and contribute to a balanced and effective Committee.
No technical qualifications are required.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- Live or work in the Darwin region
- Have an interest in environmental, community, economic or industry matters relevant to Darwin LNG and the Northern Territory
- Be willing to participate in respectful and constructive discussions
- Consider information and a range of viewpoints objectively
- Be able to attend Committee meetings and review meeting materials.

Interested individuals are invited to complete the application form below and submit their EOI by Monday 27 July 2026.
Selection Process
Following the close of the EOI period, Santos will review applications and appoint members based on:
- Connection to the Darwin region
- Ability to contribute constructively to discussions
- Alignment with the objectives of the Committee
- Relevant experience, interests or perspectives
- Complementarity with existing membership
Santos reserves the right to determine final membership appointments and Committee composition to ensure a balanced, effective and representative Committee.
