Santos’ Asia, New South Wales and Western Australia oil assets are run separately as a standalone business.
In Indonesia, gas from the offshore East Java Oyong, Wortel and Maleo fields is sold for domestic power generation and distribution and oil piped to a Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel for storage and export.
In Vietnam, the Chim Sáo oil project and Dua three-well subsea tieback processes hydrocarbons aboard a Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) facility. Oil is exported on crude offtake tankers and the gas transported via subsea pipelines for power generation to meet domestic demand.
In northwest New South Wales (NSW), Santos’ Narrabri Gas Project could supply NSW with up to half the state’s natural gas needs. The Environmental Impact Statement for the Project is currently being assessed by both the State and Commonwealth Governments.
In the Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia, Santos produces oil from its Fletcher Finucane / Mutineer-Exeter and Barrow assets.
As a standalone business, this portfolio of assets is to be continually optimised to drive efficiency and maximise shareholder value.
