Santos today announced the appointment of Hock Goh to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Mr Goh, 57, has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry in Asia. During a 25-year career with Schlumberger, a leading oilfield services company, Mr Goh held senior positions in Asia, the Middle East and Europe, including President of Network and Infrastructure Solutions, President Asia, and Vice President and General Manager of China.

In 2005, Mr Goh was appointed Operating Partner of Baird Asia Partners, an affiliate of RW Baird & Co, based in China.

Mr Goh is Chairman of MEC Resources Ltd and Advent Energy Ltd, and serves as a non-executive director of Stora Enso Oyj and BPH Energy Ltd.

Mr Goh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Santos Chairman Peter Coates said he was delighted that Mr Goh has joined the Santos Board of Directors.
