On behalf of Darwin LNG, Santos works closely with the Wickham Point Deed Reference Group and the traditional custodians of the region, the Larrakia People.
As part of the ongoing commitments to support cultural integration into our operations, Santos has undertaken the Larrakia street renaming project at Darwin LNG.
Fabricated by a local company, there are 15 new street signs around the Darwin LNG facility renamed with Larrakia fauna names which have a significant cultural importance to the Larrakia People. Additionally, information and a map sign were developed for staff and visitors to obtain insights into the relationship between the Larrakia and Darwin LNG to permanently acknowledge the project.
