Santos is a proud sponsor of the Clontarf Foundation. Their mission is to improve the education, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
Throughout this year, we have had the pleasure of engaging in several of their early morning training sessions around WA, and most recently had the chance to attend the 16th Annual Clontarf Foundation Wadjemup Cup on Rottnest Island.
For more than a decade, the Wadjemup Cup partnership with the Rottnest Island Authority has provided an opportunity for students from across the State to test out their footy skills against their peers, forge new friendships, and learn about the Aboriginal cultural significance of Wadjemup.
Over 130 Clontarf students converged on Rottnest to participate in the footy competition, cheered on by family, teachers and corporate partners. The event included a Welcome to Country on arrival and a smoking ceremony before watching the games.
This is a key partnership that Santos is excited to develop moving into 2023 and beyond.
