The Nosh on the Namoi event is an opportunity for local and regional producers to showcase their produce as well as a chance for the community to enjoy a day filled with great food and entertainment.
One highlight of the Nosh is the annual “Cook-off”, where amateur chefs demonstrate their culinary skills, incorporating local produce while cooking with natural gas. Through the “Cook-off”, the Nosh reinforces the role natural gas plays in preparing healthy meals in our homes and highlights the link between food and energy.
The Narrabri region includes a number of highly productive agricultural areas. The development of natural gas resources without negatively impacting on food and fibre production in the region is a key focus of our plans. Agricultural productivity and the need for energy go hand in hand, and the Nosh event helps illustrate the importance of both.
