Our Responsibilities

Santos in the community

Santos actively supports the communities in which we operate. We do this through using local suppliers, creating employment and training opportunities and supporting community organisations and events.

In 2014, Santos was proud to fund a range of community events, programs and initiatives in Australia and overseas. Working in partnership with communities, charitable organisations and government agencies, Santos invested over $12 million.

In 2015, Santos has three focus areas:

  1. Supporting our natural environment
Supporting initiatives that protect and enhance our land, water and air.
  2. Developing futures for young people and regional communities
Providing a range of training and employment opportunities for young people and regional communities.
  3. Investing in vibrant communities
Helping our cities and towns become healthier and more vibrant, enriching the lives of those who live there.

Santos has a range of strategic partnerships in Australia and overseas with key community organisations.

In SA, NSW and QLD there is a small budget available to support grassroots community initiatives in areas and communities of relevance to Santos operations. To help you assess if your organisation is eligible or ineligible for support from Santos, please see the selection criteria below.
