Sustainability at Santos
A sustainable approach
Santos is not just an energy company, but a company with the energy to be sustainable.
For Santos, sustainability means supplying energy for the future, and doing business in a way that improves outcomes for shareholders, employees, business partners and the communities in which it operates.
Santos does this by considering a comprehensive set of criteria beyond traditional economic measures that assess the full impact of company activities and enables better business decisions through a deeper understanding of their impacts.
As well as producing positive outcomes for all stakeholders, sustainability improves Santos’ efficiency and profitability as it strives for a leadership position in the energy market.
Santos has a three-year sustainability vision, which is built upon three key themes:
- understanding stakeholder expectations
- driving sustainability performance in existing operations
- integrating sustainability into the company’s transformational growth strategy.
Sustainability is explicit in Santos’ vision and provides a framework that links financial and operating targets with responsibilities to other important stakeholders.
