Project Overview
The Spar project involves the staged development of the Spar gas field, initially by the completed tie-in of the Haylard-1 well and followed by the proposed tie-in of the Spar-2 well. Gas and liquids from the field is piped to East Spar via a new pipeline and then on to Varanus Island for processing via the existing East Spar trunkline.
First Production
Production commenced from the Halyard-1 well in June 2011, ahead of schedule and on budget. The Spar-2 well is located two kilometres from Halyard-1 and is expected to be on line in 2015. Gross production capacity of Halyard-1 and Spar-2 is expected to be 120 TJ/day.
