The Reindeer gas field was discovered in 1997, and was approved for development by the joint venture partners in 2008.
Gas production from the Devil Creek plant commenced in December 2011, with sales initially planned to ramp up to 110 TJ/day.
Gas is sold from Reindeer/Devil Creek to major local companies in the mining industry.
Reindeer gas is produced via an unmanned, minimum facility wellhead platform located in 65 metres of water. Gas and liquids are exported from the platform to the onshore Devil Creek gas processing plant via a 105-km pipeline.
The Devil Creek gas plant has a gross production capacity of 215 TJ/day, and will deliver sales gas and stabilised condensate.
Sales gas is compressed and exported to the Western Australian domestic gas market via the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
