Facility Details
The Patricia-Baleen gas processing plant is located near Orbost. Processing consists of separation, compression, dehydration, and recovery of liquid hydrocarbon condensate. Sales gas is then transported to the Jemena Eastern Gas Pipeline and condensate to the Shell Geelong Refinery.
The plant currently processes gas from Nexus’ offshore Longtom development in the VIC/L23 permit area, 19 kilometres south-west of the Patricia and Baleen wells. Plant throughput is approximately 68 terajoules per day however the plant has been sized to process 100 terajoules per day in anticipation of gas from other suppliers in the region.
Community Advisory Committee
The Patricia-Baleen Community Advisory Committee is a regular forum in which Santos provides an update on activities at the Patricia-Baleen gas plant, and community questions and issues can be discussed.
