Carnarvon Basin

The Carnarvon Basin is located in coastal waters off the north-west coast of Australia. 

Santos has interests in 24 production licences, 3 operated including oil production from Mutineer-Exeter; 8 exploration permits, 5 operated; and one retention licence.

Producing oil assets include Mutineer-Exeter, Stag and Barrow Island while gas is produced from the John Brookes and Spar fields through the Varanus Island processing plant. Production from Reindeer is on schedule to begin in the fourth quarter 2011.
