For the second year, the Santos Centre foyer has been transformed into an art space for the annual SALA Festival – South Australian Living Artists.
This year's artist is Margaret Worth, an award-winning artist and designer who has exhibited in the prestigious Tokyo Biennale, Adelaide Biennial, Sydney Perspecta and Fleurieu Biennale.
Margaret draws on her an interest in geography for her inspiration. Her works reflect experiences of land, energy and culture as they coalesce in different localities.
They are derived from working with the people who make the land their life. Equally, their lives mark the land. The common connection throughout these works is the energy that lies within the land and what it provides.
SALA brings together 3,453 visual artists throughout 520 unique and creative spaces spanning the heart and breadth of South Australia.
The event runs from 3 – 26th August, 2012.
