Santos staff raises over $7k in the Asthma Foundation’s 2012 Take a Breather Charity Challenge

Santos employees raised more than $7,170 for the Asthma Foundation’s 2012 Take a Breather Charity Challenge last weekend.

Santos had 23 teams entered (25% up on last year) comprising of 79 employees, family and friends, all taking to the trails of Second Valley Reserve, about 90mins out of Adelaide.

Rogaining is an outdoor strategy and adventure sport for all ages, in which participants walk, run or ride in teams of two to five, navigating with map and compass to collect hidden markers. Courses range in distance from 5km to 40km.

Santos’ highest fundraiser team, Santos Easy riders consisting of Robert Mulyk, Marcus Clements, Craig Feely and Todd Pontifex raised an outstanding total of $1,295 and were the 10th highest fundraisers overall. 

All funds raised will go towards Asthma Research scholarships, providing free Asthma Control Packs and providing asthma emergency training to sporting and recreation clubs.
