More than 40 Santos employees took time out of their past weekend to sizzle snags and work at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), as part of a re-opening event for the gallery's latest exhibition, staged to raise money for the state’s flood recovery.
Santos is the principle corporate sponsor of GoMA, and the company hosted the barbecue for the re-opening of the exhibition 21st Century: Art in the First Decade.
Santos employees cooked sausages and joined GoMA staff to supervise the exhibition’s interactive art works.
More than 10,000 people attended the re-opening celebrations. The sausage sizzle raised $1,600, which Santos will match. Proceeds will go to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Fund.
