The Santos Symphony Under the Stars is a free concert that attracts audiences of 25,000
Santos and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra received the Marsh Partnering Award from the Australia Business Arts Foundation for their 10-year partnership.
The ABAF awards celebrate partnerships that go beyond sponsorship to deliver positive benefits to the wider community. The ceremony was held on 8 September at the Adelaide Festival Centre.
Santos has been the ASO’s largest private-sector supporter during its 10-year partnership. The company has provided more than $2.5 million in that time, and earlier this year announced that it would extend the partnership with a further $1 million over the next three years.
Santos and the ASO’s community program includes the annual Santos Symphony Under the Stars in Elder Park, a free open-air concert that attracts about 25,000 people.
